What a great experience! My room was spacious and clean, and Carlos and Gisela are fantastic people who welcome you with open arms. The hostel offers nice views and is close to the downtown Viña area - great for visiting the city.
The stay at "Gisela & Carlos House" was great. The rooms were all clean and there were various possibilities to use other facilities and equipment than just the room as for example a swimming pool, computers with internet connection and a TV room. Furthermore, the closeness to the center of Viña made it possible to visit the city with its famous sights or to stay for some hours in Valparaiso which also is very close. Finally the most important aspect of a stay away from home - the hospitality - is the principle of the house and one can feel this from the very first beinning. All in all the place is very recommandable for all students especially those who want to experience the real Chilean life, meet nice people from other countries and cultures and for those who want to improve their language skills.

Que bonita la casa de Carlos y Gisela! My room was very clean and the house is very nice. Carlos and Gisela and their children welcome you with open arms ... it is much appreciable !! Awesome place to stay. Carlos and Gisela and their kids have been like a second family to me, and they really helped integrate me into Chilean culture. The hostel was extremely clean, and a fun place to hang out, with the pool, the ping pong table, etc. The house was also close the the beach, the the bars, and the main bus stop. The house was also within walking distance of my university. Great house, very nice family, and in a great location.
Although it was just a one-night-stay, we enjoyed every single moment of it. Gisela and Carlos are tremendously nice people who welcome you with warmth and give you plenty of informtation for your individual plannings. The hostel itself is situated in a very save area of Viña del Mar and is also close to the city center. And last but not least, the breafast tastes fantastic!

When we arrived at this hostel, we didn´t have any registration and because of the busy semana santa weekend they didn´t have enough beds for us. But somehow they arranged 4 beds for us so we could spend the night at the hostal of Gisela and Carlos. We spend only 2 days in viña and besides the nice beach in riñaca, this hostal has been a highlight of our trip. We had a lot of fun and Gisela and Carlos have been extremely kind and welcoming. If you come to viña, try to get an accomodation at this hostal!
We stayed at the hostel now a second time and always felt like home! if you're staying here it's not like any usual hostel because it feels like you'r spending your time in a family! So I just can hardly recommend this hostel for any open minded back packer or visitor!!
